Is having fun while raising money possible? Yes! Let me share where I've been last month.
My friend Carmela invited me to her Stag & Doe party last May 23rd. Stag & doe is a pre-wedding tradition popular in Canada and UK. It is organized by the wedding party or by the bride and groom.

So how Stag and Doe party works? Guests are invited to purchase entrance ticket. The ticket fee is to cover the cost of the event. Guests are also charged small fees for playing games. Sample of games are:
Beer Cap Count: You fill a jar with beer caps. Guests who would like to play this game need to pay a certain amount. The winner is the one who guesses exactly the number of caps inside the jar. In case no one guesses the exact number, the winner is the one closest without going over.
50/50 Tickets: Sell tickets whatever price you decide is reasonable. Place ticket stubs in a bowl or jar. Randomly pick a winning ticket. The winner gets half the proceeds of the 50/50 ticket sales.
Silent Auction: Place auction items on tables with a jar in front of each item. People buy tickets, write their names on them and place them in the jars in front of the items they wish to win. At the predetermined time a ticket is pulled from each jar and the winner is announced.
And many more carnival-style games, children games like musical chair, challenge games (ala minute to win it style) or even karaoke (pay to sing) or pinoy henyo!
Guests are also entertain by draws from the prizes brought by the wedding party, food and music.
